New Line of Superfruit Flavors
Natural Flavors recently launched a new line of organic
superfruit flavors, including ranui berry, cupuacu, yumberry,
sea buckthorn berry and acerola, just
to name a few. These flavors were
developed to enhance the taste pro-
file of products with the named fruit
and all contain that fruit in the for-
mula. They are available in both oil
and water soluble versions for use
in numerous applications.

OFFI Offers Organic Certified Glycerin
and Ethyl Palmate
Organic Flavor and Fragrance Ingredients (OFFI) is the newest addition to the
Elan Group of companies. OFFI kicked
off its offerings with NOP certified organic
glycerin. Glycerin is a mainstay ingredient for
the personal care industry and manufacturers are excited to now
have it available as NOP certified organic. OFFI’s newest product
is organic ethyl palmate, a mixture of fatty acid, ethyl esters.
This product, like the organic glycerin, is derived from sustainable organic palm oil from South America. Organic ethyl
palmate is oil soluble and water miscible and has a wide variety
of applications in the personal care, food, flavor and fragrance
categories. It can be used in certain applications for personal
care as a carrier, solvent, emulsifier, co-emulsifier, emollient,
moisturizer and lubricant. This product is brand new and creative
developers are finding new applications every day. It can also be
used as a carrier for flavor systems either by itself or in conjunction with the organic glycerin. It also can be used in some cases
to replace propylene glycol and other non-allowed carriers.

Ciranda Now Offering d’Agave Blue Agave Syrup
Ciranda now offers d’Agave blue
agave syrup in both light and dark
versions. The light syrup is golden
and the dark is amber. This syrup is
25 percent sweeter than sugar with
fewer calories and a low glycemic
index of 17. Prebiotic inulin powder
is also available. All d’Agave products
are certified organic and kosher.
