production for disinfecting equipment, seed and some planting materials and to control fire blight bacteria and in organic livestock operations for sanitizing facilities and processing equipment. Consequently,
our analysis is relevant to selecting PAA sanitizing solutions for use in
some of these crop and livestock applications.
Overall, the goal of this article is to help organic processors and
producers understand how to effectively use PAA as a tool to promote
better sanitation while remaining in compliance with the NOP regulations. We urge the reader to give us feedback on our interpretation of
the regulations that govern use of PAA. o
